Rotary Youth Leadership Award

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is an intensive leadership experience organized by Rotary clubs and districts where you develop your skills as a leader while having fun and making connections.

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) Conference is a leadership exposure and development initiative for high school juniors (11th-graders) offered in District 6800 annually in February or early March. Delegates to RYLA are sponsored by the 30+ district Rotary clubs. RCMC usually sponsors a minimum of 2 delegates each year. Rotarians provide delegates round-trip transport, chaperone at the conference venue, sponsor meals and educational support materials and supplies, and help with registration.

In February 2019, an aspiring Junior, Kimberly Walker, was selected to attend the RYLA Conference.  She said, "I had a ball."  "I want to learn as much as I can to better myself."  Kim is not afraid of a challenge.  She is now the 2019 - 2020 Interact President and ready to implement plans for the new year.
