On Friday, October 11, 2018, Interactors from Manassas High School began their Fall Break performing community service at the Church of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Memphis, Tennessee. For the last 22 years, this church has offered time, talent, and resources to support the Annual Fundraiser for Haiti Medical Missions.
Haiti Medical Missions of Memphis provides quality health care to the people of Haiti through a comprehensive primary care health clinic and rehabilitation in Croix des Bouquets near Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The Clinic Saint Esprit (Holy Spirit Clinic) provides primary and preventive health care, dental and eye care, outpatient surgery and serves 200 patients per day. The Saint Charles Rehabilitation Center provides outpatient rehabilitation therapy for children and adults. The clinic also provides onsite educational training experiences for visiting, medical/dental and nursing faculty, residents, students, and private health care volunteer providers from abroad.
Members of the Interact Executive Board led by example and sacrificed a few precious hours of their time to give back to the community, earning accolades from mission organizers and attendees for their presence, positive attitudes, and hard work.
